Partial reimbursement of the parental contribution for attending music school

The Burgenland State Government provides a grant for the partial reimbursement of parental contributions for attending music schools, aiming to relieve socially disadvantaged families and promote cultural education in Burgenland. Private applicants are specifically supported in attending state-recognized music schools and further developing their musical skills. The focus lies on the thematic areas of social affairs, children and youth, education, culture, and music, thereby fostering sustainable support for young talents and strengthening social cohesion.

Eligible are students with their main residence in Burgenland and Austrian citizenship, as well as their parents or legal guardians, provided that the weighted per capita income does not exceed the limits defined in the Burgenland Family Support Act. Applications must be submitted annually within the funding period from March 1 to June 30 of the respective school year. Required documentation includes payment receipts from the music schools, a description of the attendance, proof of income, as well as evidence of citizenship and main residence. After a thorough review of the submitted documents, the partial reimbursement is granted by official notice, so that contributions already paid are reimbursed retroactively and families are financially relieved in the long term.
