Description
With the Thuringian European Funding Guideline (ThürEFR), the Free State of Thuringia provides a continuously accessible grant opportunity. The program supports projects of particular European political significance that contribute to increasing the acceptance of Europe among the population and make European values tangible. It is aimed at associations, federations, as well as public and private educational institutions that want to make the European idea practically experienceable. The focus is on training and further education projects with a European emphasis: In addition to classic informational events, networking and encounter formats are supported that enable exchange between people from different regions and countries. Eligible costs include material expenses, fees, and communication measures for public relations, as well as travel expenses within the framework of cross-border encounters. Funding is provided as a proportional grant, whereby own contributions enrich project planning and strengthen local commitment.
Only non-profit organizations are eligible to apply, including schools, state-recognized independent providers, and religious communities based in Thuringia. The ongoing funding opportunity allows for flexible project planning throughout the year. A prerequisite for funding is a comprehensive written project description, proof of secured total financing including an appropriate own contribution, as well as the appropriate, non-profit use of funds in accordance with the tax code. Applications can be submitted continuously and must be submitted no later than two months before the project start via the Thuringian Application System for Administrative Services (ThAVEL) or in written form to the Thuringian State Chancellery. The transparent selection process ensures targeted allocation of funds and sustainably promotes the expansion of European educational, encounter, and cooperation structures in Thuringia.
