Description
The Dogworld Foundation – Lifeline for Orphaned Dogs regularly offers animal shelter-specific training modules throughout Germany and Austria, aimed at employees of animal shelters and animal welfare organizations. In 2-day sessions (cost: €60) as well as selected 3-day events (cost: €90), fundamental and specialized content on canine behavior, aggression prevention, and care strategies is conveyed. The goal is to strengthen professional competence in handling shelter dogs and to sustainably improve the quality of care. The training programs are continuously available and consist of theoretical units, practical exercises, and video analyses, with punctual attendance required at all sessions.
Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations and public institutions; participation requires employment at an animal shelter or animal welfare organization. Registration and proof of employment are submitted via a standardized registration form, which must be submitted together with the employment verification no later than 10 days before the seminar begins. The seminar costs are financed through donation accounts of the Dogworld Foundation, thereby ensuring direct and uncomplicated access to the educational offerings. Animal shelter employees receive comprehensive qualification through these trainings to competently and responsibly carry out their daily work with shelter dogs.
