The animal sponsorship at the Coastal Zoo of the Natureum Niederelbe offers private individuals in Lower Saxony the opportunity to actively support species conservation and environmental education. Within the framework of a one-year sponsorship model, interested parties can take on sponsorship for native and exotic animal species starting at €40. The Natureum Niederelbe Foundation thereby promotes animal welfare, environmental awareness, and education, as well as the energy efficiency and climate protection measures of its zoo. The sponsorship is aimed at families and individuals of all ages who wish to combine nature experiences with sustainable commitment.

The sponsorship package includes a personal annual pass, a certificate, and an exclusive meeting with the "sponsored animal." Optionally, a nameplate can be attached to the enclosure to document the connection. The annual support amount varies depending on the animal between €40 (e.g., rabbit, turtle) and €200 (e.g., otter, horse). Applications and orders can be made continuously, offering maximum flexibility. Through the sponsorship, a unique bond is created between participants and animals, which simultaneously makes a valuable contribution to animal welfare and environmental education and strengthens the Natureum in the long term.
