Description

The Tyrolean Innovation Support for Initiative Projects assists micro-enterprises as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) located in Tyrol with the initial feasibility and potential analysis of new product, process, and service developments. Eligible expenses include external services, material and equipment costs, as well as imputed personnel costs of managing directors and shareholders (with at least 25% ownership). The measure serves to explore technical feasibility, assess economic prospects of success, and initiate concrete innovation and technology projects. Examples of eligible activities include patent searches, expert opinions on intellectual property valuation, the production of functional prototypes, and cooperation explorations with research institutions or partner companies.

The non-repayable one-time grant covers up to 75% of eligible costs, but no more than €10,000 per project with a duration of up to nine months. At least 30% of the project costs must be allocated to external services. Applications can be submitted continuously until December 31, 2027. For the application, a precise project description, a detailed cost breakdown, and the company’s annual financial statements must be submitted. The Standortagentur Tirol GmbH offers professional support during the application process to ensure an efficient and complete submission. This provides interested companies with an uncomplicated entry into their innovation initiatives and enables them to take initial steps toward market readiness of new technologies.
