Description
The Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation offers free grief counseling and support in Bavaria for young people and their relatives. Adults up to 49 years of age who have experienced the loss of a life partner, as well as children, adolescents, and young adults between 5 and 27 years old following the death of a parent, can access a diverse range of support services. In-person formats at the Sternenhaus Munich are complemented by telephone and digital counseling options, which can be used flexibly and regardless of the time elapsed since the loss. The support includes individual and group sessions, creative and movement-oriented seminars, parent-child workshops, mindfulness exercises, as well as online thematic evenings, all aimed at sustainably stabilizing the individual grieving process. Family members, caregivers, and professionals are also supported within this framework by specialized experts and are provided with space for exchange and professional consultation.
Funding is provided in the form of a grant, for which private individuals can submit applications and register for participation at any time. Thanks to financial contributions and donations, participation remains free of charge for the bereaved, regardless of their personal circumstances or the duration of their grief. The goal is to promote psychosocial stability, prevent isolation, and open up new perspectives through qualified grief groups, seminars, and individual support. The ongoing funding opportunity enables a low-threshold access offer without application deadlines. Interested parties can find comprehensive information about the individual services and registration directly through the funding provider, the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation.
