Description

The STIFTUNG Sparda-Bank Hannover supports, within the framework of the "Traumspielpark," a nationwide unique project aimed at creating modern play and activity areas for children and adolescents in Bremen, Lower Saxony, and North Rhine-Westphalia. Cities, municipalities, and clubs from the funding region between Bremerhaven and the Harz can apply for a grant of up to €150,000 for the planning and implementation of a new playground. The goal is to transform public spaces of at least 1,000 m² into vibrant meeting points for families, thereby contributing to social cohesion, leisure activities, and the strengthening of local sports and physical activity offerings. The initiative explicitly targets municipal authorities and non-profit organizations that wish to present their community's needs with a well-considered concept and implement sustainable, inclusive playground equipment concepts.

For a successful application, among other requirements, a fully completed application form, a site plan, and a detailed concept description are necessary. Eligible expenses include playground equipment, planning, and installation costs; however, operation and maintenance are not covered by the grant. Selection is based on formal criteria such as publicly accessible space, sufficient size, and the substantive quality of the needs concept. The application deadline is February 28, 2026, with project commencement planned from June 2026. Through this funding initiative, the foundation continues its long-standing tradition of strengthening regional community projects and sustainably investing in infrastructure for children and adolescents.
