Description
The funding program TV and online content Fiction projects supports small and medium-sized enterprises based in an EU Member State in the development and production of high-quality fictional TV and online formats (drama, animation, documentary). The aim is to strengthen the capacities of audiovisual producers and to expand cross-border exploitation opportunities within and beyond Europe. Projects are funded that stand out due to their creative and artistic quality, innovation in content and financing structure, as well as sustainable, inclusive, and diverse approaches. European and international co-productions created in cooperation with broadcasters, digital platforms, and distribution partners, which demonstrate a clear strategy for both linear and non-linear broadcasting, are particularly welcome. Applicants must demonstrate financial and operational capacity and comply with the conditions of the call document.
A lump-sum financing according to the call document is available for application. Applications can be submitted in two cut-off rounds by 03.12.2025 and 07.05.2026, each by 17:00 (Brussels time). Required documents include the standard application form (CREA MEDIA), the financing structure, proof of independence and ownership control, as well as the language declarations of the submission documents. Evaluation is based on criteria such as innovation, artistic value, cross-border exploitation potential, financing innovations, and measures for sustainability, diversity, and inclusion. The funding is awarded by the European Commission under the Creative Europe program as a grant.
