Description

The funding instrument supports recognized educational providers in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in organizing inter-company training courses in the agricultural sector. The goal is the targeted strengthening of professional, general, and digital competencies of trainees in a total of 13 training occupations – including agricultural worker, equine specialist, animal caretaker, forestry worker, gardener, and vintner. Through the use of funds from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), course and accommodation costs are subsidized at 70%. Thus, the program makes a significant contribution to increasing the labor market relevance of vocational education and promotes access to lifelong learning in rural areas of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Eligible for funding are recognized continuing education providers who have concluded agreements with the responsible ministry regarding the content and scope of the training courses. A prerequisite is that trainees have their main residence or the training company is located in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and that a registered vocational training contract is in place. The application must include plans regarding the number of participants as well as verified instruction and average cost schedules from the Heinz Piest Institute. The funding enables grants of up to €14.40 per overnight stay or €72 per week, as well as up to 70% of eligible course costs. Applications must be submitted at least six weeks before the start of the measure and consider the funding period from August 1 to July 31 of the following year. The Society for Structural and Labor Market Development (GSA), as the approval authority, handles reviews, issuance of decisions, and disbursement, enabling educational institutions to implement their courses with planning security.
