Description

The program "Coverage of Monthly Rent Costs for Individual Accommodation" supports asylum seekers, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, and non-removable foreigners, as well as their household members residing in the same household in the federal state of Lower Austria. Within the framework of the Basic Care Agreement (Art. 15a B-VG) and the Lower Austrian Basic Care Act, the actual rental costs of private accommodations are covered 100%. The funding is aimed at private individuals who are in need of assistance and protection and can prove residence and main domicile in Lower Austria. Applications for the non-repayable grant can be submitted continuously without a deadline, enabling affected persons to receive quick and unbureaucratic financial relief for housing costs.

Aiming to ensure an orderly and dignified stay in the federal state, this measure covers all monthly rental expenses, thereby creating stability for particularly vulnerable foreigners. By covering the full rental costs, access to adequate housing is facilitated, contributing to social integration, easing migration, and supporting housing construction and modernization funding. The continuous funding option provides long-term planning security and supports participants in focusing on integration, employment, and social participation without having to bear the financial risks of rental burdens.
