Supraregional Family and Senior Support

The supra-regional family and senior support of the Free State of Thuringia assists non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, as well as public institutions in implementing projects and measures that specifically benefit families with children and seniors. Initiatives promoting social participation, care, and recreation are funded, which provide positive impulses for social cohesion beyond municipal boundaries. Through the granting of subsidies, creative leisure and educational offerings are created, where young and old can gain new experiences and intergenerational coexistence is encouraged.

Interested applicants must demonstrate their headquarters or sphere of activity in Thuringia and prove their non-profit status or public sponsorship. A clear supra-regional project relevance is also required to ensure that the offerings are accessible to families and seniors from multiple districts. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, allowing projects to be planned flexibly and implemented promptly if necessary. With this funding, the Thuringian Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Women and Family contributes to sustainably strengthening the social network for all generations.
