Description

The grant program "Cross-Regional Open Disability Work" in Bavaria supports low-threshold outpatient assistance that enables people with specific impairments, as defined by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, to lead a self-determined life and participate fully in society. Non-profit associations and organizations at the state level, as well as their affiliated providers whose catchment area covers at least one planning region according to the State Development Plan, are eligible for funding. Eligible costs include personnel expenses for psychologists (up to €33,700), specialists (up to €24,300), and other professionals (up to €18,200), material resources (up to €7,000 per full-time position), initial equipment (up to €6,000 per position), as well as travel expenses at 80% of costs, with a maximum of €3,250 per full-time specialist.

Requirements include conceptual integration into umbrella or state associations, quality assurance measures, professionally qualified staff, and needs-based opening hours, such as evening consultation hours. The services must provide counseling, public relations, and network development, as well as cover specific disability-related needs not addressed by SGB II to XII. Initial applications and requests for position expansions must be submitted by March 31, and follow-up applications by November 15 of the previous year. The maximum project duration is twelve months. This funding offer strengthens the implementation of the UN CRPD in Bavaria and sustainably expands the regional supply structure of cross-regional open disability work.
