Description

The program Implementation of the Digital Masterplan Culture supports non-profit and non-commercial cultural institutions in Schleswig-Holstein in their digital development. It targets public and educational institutions such as museums, theaters, archives, libraries, cultural centers, associations, and adult education centers. Funding is provided for digital-analog strategies that implement both internal processes (organizational development, communication, agile management, qualification) and external offerings (marketing, audience development, mediation formats). With the help of external process consulting and appropriate hardware and software equipment, workflows can be optimized, the attractiveness of programs increased, and visitor numbers sustainably raised. The funding initiative is designed as a grant and addresses the thematic areas of Smart Cities & Regions, Culture & Media, Digitalization, as well as Infrastructure & Urban Development. Up to 90% of eligible costs are available for projects, capped at €65,000 per project, with an annual application deadline of January 31.

Eligibility requires a registered office in Schleswig-Holstein as well as fundamental funding eligibility from the state's cultural budget. Prior to application, an informal project outline must be submitted and a consultation with Dataport completed. Furthermore, overall financing must be secured and the further development of existing digital-analog concepts justified in the application form. Projects with a predominantly commercial character are excluded, as are projects below a de minimis threshold of €15,000. Eligible expenses include the development and implementation of digital-analog strategies, external process moderation, hardware and software acquisitions, as well as project-related programming. Application documents must include, in addition to the outline, a completed form with attachments, a schedule and action plan, a financing plan, and the signed application in order to receive funding.
