Environmental Funding - Environmentally Friendly Vehicle Fleets

The City of Graz grants a subsidy for the acquisition of new environmentally friendly vehicle fleets in the period from 01.01.2025 to 31.12.2026. Only electrically powered vehicles, plug-in hybrid, full hybrid, and gas-powered models are eligible for funding. The goal is to significantly reduce harmful emissions and improve air quality within the city area. For each eligible new purchase, a one-time contribution of up to €3,000 is granted. Eligible applicants are commercial enterprises as well as charitable associations and institutions that predominantly operate taxi and rental car services, social services, food or delivery services, driving schools, or car sharing within the city area of Graz.

A prerequisite for funding is the registered office or predominant activity in Graz as well as proof of a valid concession. Funded vehicles must be marked with a sticker provided by the Environmental Office and be predominantly used within the city area. For the application, a fully completed application form, a valid purchase, credit, or leasing contract from 01.01.2025 onwards, proof of payment, and a copy of the registration certificate must be submitted. Incomplete submissions will be rejected. The submitted documents will be checked through electronic register and document verifications. Applicants are advised to observe the deadline of 31.12.2026 and to inform themselves early about the detailed funding guidelines.
