Description
The funding initiative supports small businesses based in the state of Salzburg with environmentally relevant investments that sustainably reduce energy and resource consumption. Measures are funded in the areas of building services engineering, building envelope, compressed air, steam, ventilation and air conditioning technology, lighting systems, energy-efficient drives/machines/plants as well as sun protection, shading, and de-sealing. A prerequisite is independent consulting by Umwelt Service Salzburg (consulting report not older than three years) and an investment volume of at least €2,000 net. All project components – from planning through installation to technical conversions – must commence before the application is submitted to ensure eligibility. Non-eligible are in-house personnel services, new constructions, and purely maintenance measures.
The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant of up to 50% of the eligible costs, but no more than €5,000 per project. Project implementation must be completed within six months after the application is received, and proof of use must be submitted within three months after completion. Evaluation criteria include the contribution to reducing energy and resource consumption, alignment with the climate and energy goals of the state of Salzburg, as well as the economic efficiency and feasibility of the project. Applications must be submitted after consulting and before the start of the investment. The initiative runs until 31.12.2027 or until the annual budget is exhausted. Small enterprises with up to 20 full-time equivalent employees can submit all required documents – including the consulting report, detailed cost estimates, and the completed application form – on time to the funding agency.
