Description
The competition to honor exemplary inclusion projects in Lower Franconia annually promotes commitment in five areas: education and upbringing, work, housing, leisure and sports, as well as culture, nature, and the environment. Private individuals, companies, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations from the region can apply by May 15, provided their project effectively advances the participation of people with disabilities locally. A prize of €2,500 is available per category, which may only be used for the awarded project.
An expert jury evaluates the submissions based on key criteria such as the equal participation of people with and without disabilities, the involvement of volunteer helpers, their exemplary impact, as well as economic efficiency and sustainability. The goal is to make successful concepts publicly visible and to provide impetus for inclusive offerings in education, work, housing, leisure, and culture. The award offers a platform for networking and exchange of experiences and encourages the replication of commendable approaches throughout Bavaria. Application documents, including the detailed project description and the official form, are available online and enable uncomplicated participation in this established pillar of social cohesion in the Lower Franconia district.
