Description

The funding program "Companies Taking Climate Action" is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises with headquarters or locations in Baden-Württemberg and supports the systematic implementation of climate protection measures. Through external professional consulting, greenhouse gases can be reduced and energy and resource efficiency increased. Investments in energy efficiency, renewable energies, and environmental technology are also supported. Consulting funding can be applied for continuously and covers up to 75% of the net consulting costs (max. €900 per person-day, up to five days, up to €4,500 per measure). Investment funding is available annually on March 31 and September 30 (in 2023 also on November 15), amounts to 50% of eligible expenses, and a maximum of €80,000 per project. The programs run until September 30, 2027. Evaluation criteria include, among others, the expected greenhouse gas reduction, economic efficiency (ROI), degree of innovation, and transferability to other companies.

A prerequisite for funding is the verifiable project start only after approval as well as the listing of the consulting experts in the Experts Atlas BW. For the second stage of consulting funding, the conclusion of a climate protection agreement and joining the Climate Alliance BW are additionally required. Excluded are small tradespeople, companies with over 50% state participation, private individuals, companies in difficulty, legally mandatory measures, and those with fossil lock-in. Eligible expenses include consulting and planning services, acquisition and installation costs, as well as training and commissioning costs. Required documents include the application form, De-minimis declaration, offers, commercial register excerpt, project description, numerical calculation, ROI calculation, and GHG quantification via ESTEM.
