Description
Electrification for farm relocations in Burgenland is supported by a state subsidy aimed at counteracting regional structural change and strengthening the competitiveness of agricultural and forestry enterprises. Natural and legal persons who operate a corresponding enterprise in Burgenland on their own account may submit applications at any time. Investments starting from a minimum net amount of 1,000 euros are considered, provided the incurred costs arise after the application submission. With a funding rate of 40% of the recognized net costs, the State of Burgenland makes a substantial contribution to improving operational infrastructure.
Eligible expenses particularly include excavation work, cable laying including piping, as well as costs for grid connection. Expenses for meter boxes, grid access fees, own labor, and water supply lines are not funded. For the application, an informal request and the following documents are required: information on name, date of birth, address, and bank details; an orthophoto with the marked cable route; a declaration of commitment and de minimis statement; as well as a detailed operational improvement plan. The legal basis is provided by the Burgenland Agricultural Promotion Act 1987, as amended in 2015, and the associated guideline. Processing is handled by Department 4 – Agriculture and Nature and Climate Protection of the Office of the Burgenland State Government. Applications can be submitted continuously since January 1, 2018.
