Description
The Salzburg state government supports non-profit organizations, associations, and public institutions in the fields of disaster relief and social services through financial grants for the equipment and maintenance of disaster response equipment. The focus is on the material upgrading of the disaster relief warehouse, particularly at the Austrian Red Cross, Salzburg Regional Association. Purchases of operational clothing, helicopter rescue helmets for mountain rescue, boat engines, or underwater cameras are supported, as well as the regular maintenance of the equipment. This continuously open funding enables recognized rescue organizations in general and special rescue services in particular to sustainably secure their operational readiness and to be optimally prepared in case of emergency.
Eligible organizations may submit applications at any time and must comply with the general guidelines of the State of Salzburg. Eligible expenses primarily include the purchase of technical equipment and protective clothing as well as maintenance services for disaster response equipment. The application must be submitted with a fully completed funding form, proof of legal status, a cost estimate including invoice settlement, a financing plan, and written declarations for inspection, proof of use, and data protection compliance. The disbursement of funds takes place after a positive decision by the responsible member of the state government. This ensures that emergency organizations in Salzburg remain optimally equipped and ready for deployment in the future.
