Support for Civic Engagement (LAG Region Obermain)

The Support for Civic Engagement in the LAG Region Obermain promotes civic individual projects in an uncomplicated manner that contribute to strengthening the region in the areas of tourism, leisure, culture & tradition, economy & quality of life, or sustainable land management. Private initiatives, interest groups, associations, and non-profit organizations from Bavaria can apply with projects in the thematic fields of commitment to social cohesion/democracy, regional development, work & social affairs, as well as agriculture & rural development. The funding measure is aimed at volunteers and civil society actors who wish to implement a project in line with the regional development goals.

Project-related material and personnel costs are funded up to €4,000 with a funding rate of up to 70%. A prerequisite is the clear assignment of the measure to one of the three development goals of the LAG Region Obermain. The application documents to be submitted include the Civic Engagement Target Agreement, the Civic Engagement Regulations, and the Civic Engagement Checklist. Applications can be submitted continuously, enabling flexible planning and short-term implementation of smaller projects. The selection is made by the decision-making body of the LAG Region Obermain, which ensures the effectiveness of the projects in the regional context. This offer provides an attractive source of funding for committed groups wishing to actively shape rural areas in Upper Franconia.
