Funding objective

Description

The EU funding initiative “Uptake of innovative cybersecurity solutions for SMEs” supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in all EU Member States in adopting modern cybersecurity solutions. Funding is provided for innovative tools and services such as cyber toolkits, interfaces to SaaS applications, risk management functions, alert and incident reporting, as well as support and response capabilities in coordination with national and cross-border platforms. The objective is to optimize cyber risk management and enhance market and industry preparedness for EU cybersecurity requirements such as the Cyber Resilience Act. Approximately €3 million per project is available as a grant; the submission deadline runs from 28 October 2025 to 31 March 2026 (17:00 Brussels time) under a single-stage procedure.

Eligible for funding are SMEs headquartered in an EU Member State that, either as a consortium or single project, aim to define, implement, and actively manage their cybersecurity strategy. Essential funding prerequisites include EU establishment, EU SME classification, and the timely and proper submission of the Standard Application Form including the Ownership Control Declaration and Model Grant Agreement. Evaluation criteria include the degree of innovation, contribution to compliance with EU cybersecurity legislation, market and industry relevance, as well as scalability and sustainability of the solution. Interested companies receive comprehensive insights into the call documents and annexes to prepare tailored applications and strengthen their competitiveness in the digital single market.
