Description
The funding program is aimed at sports clubs in Hesse that are members of the Landessportbund Hessen e.V. and wish to invest as owners or leaseholders of their club-owned sports facilities. Funding is provided for new constructions, expansions, and conversions as well as renovations, modernizations, and the equipment of sports facilities with an investment volume starting from €250,000. The goal is to offer attractive training and competition conditions to all age and population groups and to strengthen active sports participation throughout the state. Construction and investment costs, personnel, and material costs can be considered, provided they directly serve sports use. Measures without a direct sports reference, school exercise facilities, and spectator stands are not eligible for funding.
The funding is provided as a grant amounting to up to 20% of the eligible expenses, with a maximum of €200,000. A needs report must be submitted annually by October 1st through the responsible municipality or district; the formal application is made continuously upon request by the Hessian Ministry for Family, Seniors, Sports, Health, and Care. Required documents include, among others, the needs registration, application form, certificate of non-profit status, construction and site plans, cost calculation according to DIN 273, as well as proof of ownership and secured overall financing. Clubs benefit from a reliable state contribution and make a significant contribution to improving municipal sports infrastructure.
