About the funder

The Hessian Ministry for Family, Seniors, Sports, Health, and Care (HMFG) is a state ministry of the state of Hesse, based in Wiesbaden. It is responsible for the thematic and financial management of family policy, senior citizen policy, sports promotion, as well as health and care services in Hesse. Its central tasks include the preparation of the Hessian Family Reports, the promotion of family centers, mothers' centers, and multi-generational houses, the support of family-friendly working and study conditions, the strengthening of healthcare provision in rural areas through subsidies for cross-sector health and medical care centers, as well as the allocation of sports funding for clubs and municipalities. The ministry is committed across generations to providing needs-based and high-quality care for all citizens and awards honors such as the Hessian Family Prize and the Care Medal.
