Description
The Vienna Meeting Fund 2025 – 2028 supports international, multi-day business events in the Vienna region with a total volume of €4 million. Eligible to apply are national and international companies, organizations, associations, or individuals who bear the economic risk and plan an event with at least 50 on-site participants, of whom at least 50% are international guests, at a Vienna venue against room rental/conference package fees. Variable costs such as room rental, technical and logistics services, as well as catering, are eligible for funding. The funding amount per event can be up to €60,000 and is based on the number of participants. Applications must be submitted online via the Vienna Convention Bureau’s submission portal and must be fully completed no later than three weeks before the event start date. The funding rate is 100%; however, cancellation costs or exhibition spaces are not eligible for funding.
The program is divided into Module 1 for standard events and Module 2 for sustainably certified events. Module 2 requires proof of the ÖkoEvent certification or the Austrian Eco-label Green Meetings & Green Events and grants an additional amount of up to €12,000 per event. Allocation is on a “first-come, first-served” basis, based on event scope, international participant share, and sustainable implementation. After successful completion, the accounting form, invoices, and participant statistics must be submitted within three months, after which the final payment will be made to the specified company account. Compliance with data protection and state aid regulations as well as the designation as Meeting Destination Vienna in marketing appearances are mandatory.
