Description

The state of Rhineland-Palatinate provides public continuing education institutions with financial resources in the form of a grant to enable courses preparing for examinations to obtain school-leaving certificates. The funding is primarily aimed at recognized adult education centers and state-recognized regional continuing education organizations that support non-school participants in obtaining vocational qualifications, the qualified secondary school certificate I, the advanced technical college entrance qualification, or the Abitur. The funding aims to increase educational participation and offer low-threshold access to obtaining school-leaving certificates. Applications can be submitted continuously to the Supervisory and Service Directorate Trier, with the amount of funding calculated based on the remuneration rates for part-time teaching.

For approval, the course must comply both professionally and organizationally with the requirements of the respective examination regulations. Qualified teaching staff and suitable classrooms must be provided, and the minimum number of participants is twelve at the start and at least ten persons per course semester thereafter. To apply, a recognition application for eligibility for funding, a separate application for participant support, and later a usage report for conducted events must be submitted. Continuous funding helps to plan teaching offers according to demand and sustainably supports the further qualification of non-school learners in Rhineland-Palatinate.
