VR – Education Upbringing Instruction Training (VR-BEST)

VR – Education Upbringing Training (VR-BEST) of the Frank Hirschvogel Foundation is aimed at educational institutions in Bavaria and provides virtual reality systems for school lessons free of charge. Within the framework of a flexible lending model, up to 20 ready-to-use VR headsets including pre-installed learning software are provided for a period of up to one month. The goal is the sustainable, effective, and forward-looking design of educational processes through immersive visualization and interactive learning environments. Teachers and students can thus experience complex topics firsthand – whether it is an insight into historical sites, scientific experiments, or virtual excursions to other worlds. The completely autonomous stand-alone solution enables location- and time-independent use without internet connection directly in the classroom.

Eligible for funding are schools and other educational institutions around the Hirschvogel plant locations that include participants aged at least 13 years, physically healthy with intact balance sense. Epilepsy and pronounced illness symptoms exclude participation. The foundation grants 100% funding in the form of a loan, without any personal contribution, and offers continuous funding opportunities subject to availability. With VR-BEST, teachers can try out modern lesson design and allow students to dive into new learning dimensions – barrier-free and motivating. Applications can be submitted at any time as long as loan devices are available.
