Description
As part of the nationwide environmental funding program within Austria, Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH supports the acquisition and modernization of environmentally and climate-friendly heat generators with a thermal output below 100 kW. Eligible for funding are companies, other entrepreneurial organizations, as well as associations and religious institutions based in Austria. Funding is provided for the new installation, conversion, and renewal of wood heating systems, heat pumps, and local/district heating connections, including planning, installation, dismantling, and disposal costs. The program promotes energy efficiency, renewable energies, environmental and nature conservation, as well as climate protection, and is open until December 31, 2050. Applications can be submitted at any time before implementation or up to six months after invoicing.
A prerequisite for approval is a current invoice date for the main system components (no older than six months) as well as the company’s or association’s location in Austria. Eligible expenses include investment, planning, installation, dismantling, and disposal costs. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) particularly benefit from grants, which are assessed based on the following criteria: climate-friendliness of the technology, technical efficiency, project relevance, and degree of innovation. For the application, the funding settlement form, copies of invoices for eligible systems, and, in the case of district heating connections, a heat supply contract must be submitted. Upon positive evaluation, KPC issues a disbursement letter, which establishes the funding contract and provides the funds to reduce fossil emissions and strengthen regional value creation.
