Description

Promotion of Sustainable Business Development
The “Weiter!Bilden” program supports micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Styria, as well as their entrepreneurs, employees, and apprentices, in aligning economic efficiency, ecology, and social responsibility. Funding is provided for company qualification projects that significantly contribute to sustainable entrepreneurial progress, sustainable skilled labor development, and topics related to resources, environment, and climate. The funding instrument covers 30% of the course costs – up to a maximum of €2,500 per application – and requires a minimum training duration of three days (24 teaching units of 45 minutes each) at certified educational institutions. Applications can be submitted until June 30, 2027, with the incentive effect only becoming valid if the application is submitted before the start of the training.

Eligibility and Scope of Funding
Eligible participants are companies with locations in Styria whose employees and apprentices are employed at the location under a permanent employment contract. Start-ups must provide proof of an active trade license by the time of billing. Only course fees for further training that have not already been funded elsewhere and do not exceed 24 months in duration are eligible for funding. Excluded are offerings such as personal development, initial vocational training, introductory training for new colleagues, conferences, product-specific sales training, as well as examination fees, travel, accommodation, and personnel costs. This clear focus provides companies with a practical impetus to secure their future viability in the long term and to anchor sustainable strategies in everyday business operations.
