Description
The 2022 Continuing Education Guideline is co-financed by the State of Brandenburg with ESF+ funds and supports vocational qualification measures for individual and operational competence development in the spirit of lifelong learning. It targets employees, both full-time and voluntary, freelancers, sole proprietors, as well as small, medium, and large enterprises, legally recognized associations, and public universities. The goal is to increase participation in continuing education, secure and improve employability, stabilize jobs, tap into unused potential (including voluntary activities), and strengthen responsiveness to structural changes in the labor market. Funding instruments include education vouchers, demand-oriented measures in companies and associations, service packages for settlement and restructuring, as well as the development of academic continuing education offerings, each precisely tailored to individual or operational development objectives.
Recipients of funding must submit an application at least two months before the start of the measure via the ILB customer portal; applications can be submitted continuously until June 30, 2027. Personnel expenses, material costs, and travel expenses are eligible for funding, provided they do not concern legally mandated or already commenced continuing education. Funding rates are 60% (education voucher, service package for SMEs, academic offerings) or a maximum of 50% of eligible expenses (companies, associations, large enterprises), with funding amounts ranging from €500 up to €3 million per project. Project durations can be up to 36 months. Required documents, in addition to the completed application form, include proof of primary residence or business location status, a qualification plan, and cost documentation. Evaluation criteria include the individual and operational qualification needs as well as the labor policy relevance of the project for the State of Brandenburg.
