Description
The funding program "World in Balance!" of the State of Tyrol supports development policy education and awareness projects that bring society, environment, and economy into balance. Funding is provided to natural and legal persons – ranging from private individuals to companies and foundations, as well as non-profit organizations and public institutions. Applications can be submitted continuously, with total costs amounting to at least 500 euros. Grants of up to 100,000 euros per project are available to enable offers for children, youth, and adults across the state in various contexts (e.g., schools, municipalities) and to address as large and diverse target groups as possible. The thematic areas range from education through vocational training to development cooperation as well as agriculture and rural development.
The focus is on interactive, multisectoral, and multisensory formats that guarantee a sensory transmission and whose impact is sustained beyond the end of the funding period. Funding requirements include a written application with a precise project description as well as a cost and financing plan and compliance with the general guidelines of the State of Tyrol for funding from state funds. Assessment criteria include sensitization and motivation of the target groups, broad regional impact throughout Tyrol, and the sustainable continuation of the activity. The program thus offers a future-oriented platform for development policy educational work based on regional anchoring and global responsibility.
