Description
The Alpine Wildlife Ecology Forum 2026 offers professionals from wildlife ecology, forestry, agriculture, nature conservation, and science across the Alpine region a platform for cross-border exchange and innovation. The event will take place on June 11 and 12, 2026, at the Hotel Heffterhof in Salzburg and is organized as a joint format by the Salzburg Chamber of Agriculture, Land & Forest Enterprises Austria, the Austrian Federal Forests AG, and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. With a funding amount of €5,500.00, the Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management supports the planning and implementation of this forum, which provides impetus in the key areas of environmental/nature conservation, education, research & innovation, as well as energy efficiency and climate protection.
Eligible for funding are public institutions that conclude a funding agreement with the Republic of Austria through the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry in Salzburg. Applications can be submitted between March 17 and June 12, 2026, and the project may commence from June 11, 2026. The application procedure includes a formal funding request and a current supplementary register extract. The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant. A final proof of use in the form of a factual report and a numerical verification must be submitted by September 30, 2026, at the latest. This format is specifically aimed at representatives from chambers, federal forests, research institutions, and NGOs who wish to collaboratively work on sustainable solutions for the challenges in the Alpine region.
