Description
The one-time, non-repayable economic promotion for the Villach location supports companies, start-ups, and new settlements from crafts, trade, and industry with investments located within the Villach city area. The goal is the sustainable strengthening of the regional economic location through the creation of new or the securing of existing jobs. Projects with eligible total costs starting from EUR 100,000 (excl. VAT) are funded in the areas of planning expenses, structural measures, office and business equipment, rights, licenses and software, as well as marketing measures. A strategic investment is considered eligible if it directly leads to an increase in full-time equivalents by at least 10% (minimum 1.5 FTE) or to the retention of jobs with significant project relevance. Companies from non-eligible sectors, such as trade, gastronomy, financial and insurance services, tourism, or web portals, are excluded from funding.
The maximum funding amount is EUR 30,000, distributed over a project duration of up to 36 months. After positive approval, funds are disbursed in two tranches: up to 50% after contract signing and completion of the investment, the remainder after project completion and proof of the achieved employment effects. A business establishment in the Villach city area as well as timely submission of the application form, financing and schedule plan, employment development, annual financial statements, social security and municipal tax certificates, and a three-year financial plan are prerequisites. Ineligible expenses such as personnel costs, land acquisition, motor vehicles, or consumables are not considered. Applications can be submitted online indefinitely from 01.01.2024 and will be reviewed within the framework of the Economic Area Subsidy Regulation.
