The Alexander Tutsek Foundation supports projects nationwide in the field of engineering sciences, with a particular focus on glass, ceramics, as well as stones and earth materials. Educational institutions such as universities, universities of applied sciences, and research institutions can apply for grants to promote basic and applied research as well as training measures. Submissions are made exclusively via an online form, with funding applications accepted at any time and evaluated in quarterly sessions. The goal is to strengthen the profile of these engineering disciplines at technical universities and to sustainably support young researchers and educators through financial resources in the development of innovative projects and degree programs.

The selection criteria focus on innovation potential, sustainability aspects, and the originality of the submitted proposals. A complete application requires a detailed project description, a curriculum vitae (CV), a detailed budget plan, bank details, and supplementary project documents such as sketches or illustrations. Since funding is awarded on an ongoing basis, timely submission prior to the planned project start is recommended. With this funding initiative, the foundation aims to sustainably improve both research capacities and the quality of education in the fields of glass, ceramics, stones, and earth materials, and to contribute to strengthening the next generation of engineers.
