Scientific Support from the Helmut Fischer Foundation

The Helmut Fischer Foundation is committed nationwide to excellent research in the classical STEM fields of physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, and medical technology. Through ongoing doctoral and study scholarships, talented early-career researchers and students are financially supported to develop innovative measurement methods and sustainably secure quality knowledge. The foundation's goal is to advance technological innovations and strengthen scientific excellence at German universities. Applicants benefit from a transparent selection process based on complete documents such as a motivation letter, curriculum vitae, letters of recommendation, and certificates. The scholarships are open to all bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students enrolled in Germany who wish to design their research projects with a forward-looking approach.

Interested university members from STEM disciplines can submit an application at any time, as there is no fixed deadline. After reviewing the submitted documents and the scientific exposé (for doctoral projects), a decision on the grant award will be made. The Helmut Fischer Foundation places special emphasis on interdisciplinary exchange and long-term support of the recipients. In addition to financial support, opportunities for professional dialogue and networking with experts from industry and research are offered. In doing so, the foundation makes a decisive contribution to fostering the creative potential of young scientists and sustainably shaping progress in measurement technology and quality assurance.
