Description
The Marie-Pfungst-Heim Foundation provides eleven affordable apartments in Bad Homburg for single senior women with low incomes. The living units, ranging from 40 to 50 m², each feature two rooms, a separate kitchen, a bathroom with a bathtub, and some include a balcony. A communal lounge as well as regular excursions and celebrations promote social cohesion. A caretaker service handles minor repairs, while the residents remain fully independent – care services are not offered. The funding is aimed at single women aged approximately 65 and older, residing in Frankfurt am Main, the Hochtaunuskreis district, or Bad Homburg, who have only a modest pension after long-term employment and are able to care for themselves.
