Living with Assistance

The Living with Assistance program of the Evangelical Foundation Alsterdorf in Hamburg supports permanently barrier-free housing options for private individuals with disabilities. The goal is the sustainable support of independence and comprehensive participation of people of all ages through individually tailored assistance services. The grant is continuously available and enables uncomplicated access: an informal application is sufficient to gain access to outpatient supervised or residential forms of housing. Through the spatial diversity in various districts, a broad spectrum of needs is covered, offering people with physical, mental, or psychological impairments a safe living environment.

The offer is aimed at individuals with support needs – from children and adolescents to young adults, families, and seniors. It includes housing forms for mentally ill youth, parent-child housing, and nursing homes for older people. Interested parties fill out a contact form or an informal letter to apply for individual funding. Thanks to the ongoing application possibility, there is no fixed deadline, allowing entry to be flexibly adapted to the personal life path. This initiative strengthens inclusion and social welfare, promotes modern housing design, and makes a valuable contribution to inclusive urban development in Hamburg.
