Description
Housing and Care – Care Homes with 24-Hour Medical Supervision in Vienna supports individuals in need of care from care allowance level 3 or from level 2 with social indication when mobile services are insufficient. The aim is to promote permanent residential placement in recognized housing and care homes with in-house, round-the-clock medical care. The program targets private individuals with primary residence or actual stay in Vienna who require continuous medical supervision in addition to nursing care. The facilities offer comprehensive medical services alongside accommodation and care and are recognized in terms of content, personnel, and construction according to the strict quality and safety criteria of the Fonds Soziales Wien (FSW). Funding is provided as a subsidy for accommodation, care, and treatment costs, taking into account the individual financial situation.
Prerequisites for approval include proof of care needs (care allowance level 3 or level 2 with social indication), Austrian citizenship or equivalence, a current medical report (no older than six months), registration certificate and social insurance number, as well as evidence of care allowance receipt, income, and rent or operating costs. The required cost contribution is calculated based on income and care allowance; any excess funding must be reimbursed. Funding decisions are made after individual review of all documents. Applications can be submitted continuously at any time to the FSW customer service. Subsidy payments are made directly to the recognized facility, while caregivers must at all times enable continuous quality control by the FSW.
