The Europa-Kolleg Hamburg Foundation offers scientific guests and students from Germany and abroad the opportunity to rent temporary accommodation on the Groß Flottbek campus. In the green surroundings near the Elbe beach, HafenCity, and the University of Hamburg, a vibrant interdisciplinary environment is created where research, teaching, and European exchange converge. The apartments are specially designed for participants and guest researchers involved in the Europa-Kolleg’s study programs or projects. They benefit from an inspiring academic community, short distances to designated research facilities, and a housing concept that combines central infrastructure with the atmosphere of an international educational institution.

Interested parties can apply for accommodation at any time via a straightforward online form. A prerequisite is affiliation with a university or research institution as well as participation in one of the Europa-Kolleg’s programs. Allocation is ongoing and granted as a subsidy in the form of a time-limited rental agreement. The Foundation’s goal is to promote European integration research, strengthen intercultural dialogue, and build a sustainably connected network of fellows. The accommodation contributes to the realization of research projects and enriches practice-oriented teaching offers through close proximity to subject-matter experts.
