Description
The Housing Projects Founding Fund supports initiator groups based in Schleswig-Holstein in the development of cooperative housing projects or cooperative-like sponsorships. As grant funding, the program promotes feasibility analyses, expert assessments, as well as business and legal expertise with a funding rate of up to 90% of eligible expenses. The maximum funding amount is €15,000, with a de minimis threshold of €7,000 gross required as the minimum volume. The funds are exclusively intended for the qualification of volunteer-based founding processes and must be applied for at the Investment Bank Schleswig-Holstein (IB.SH) prior to the start of the measures. Expenses for land acquisition, construction measures, architectural services from HOAI phase 2 onwards, marketing, as well as ongoing operating or personnel costs are excluded.
Eligible to apply are BGB partnerships or pre-cooperatives as initiator groups with at least ten members who intend to realize and permanently manage a self-managed housing project with at least ten residential units. At least 30% of the living space must be reserved for social housing. Furthermore, a suitable plot or property must be available or in prospect. For the application, an IB.SH form, de minimis declaration, proof of equity, copy of ID, documents relating to the parcel, and a detailed project description must be submitted. With the Housing Projects Founding Fund, the state creates stable conditions for cooperative start-ups and contributes to socially responsible and community-supported housing in Schleswig-Holstein.
