Description

The ATS Foundation – living self-determined – promotes permanently available housing in Baden-Württemberg for people with cognitive impairments who wish to live together and independently in the heart of the city. Suitable spaces are provided in attractive, low-barrier shared apartments and secured through a future-proof foundation endowment. Through close collaboration with professional partners and the regional network of social authorities, housing support agencies, funding bodies, and assistance providers, each person is accompanied individually. This includes both the practical organization of social integration and tailored advice on applications and official matters – from initial support planning to continuous everyday assistance.

Funding is provided to individuals with cognitive impairments who are willing to live in a shared apartment, as well as to their parents and legal guardians. The foundation grants one-time subsidies for housing procurement and counseling costs and supports the coordination of assistance services, which are billed via flat-rate allowances. Applications can be submitted at any time; the prerequisite is proof of cognitive impairment and the willingness to live communally. With this funding offer, the ATS Foundation makes a valuable contribution to inclusive urban development and strengthens the self-determination of people with disabilities on their path to independent living.
