Workshops/Rehearsal Visits & Music Education (Cooperation with SWR and Youth Welfare Office) – Baydur Foundation "Future Music"

The Baydur Foundation "Future Music" continuously supports practice-oriented music education programs for preschool children aged 6 to 7 in Baden-Württemberg. In close cooperation with the SWR Symphony Orchestra and Vocal Ensemble as well as the Stuttgart Youth Welfare Office, the program offers workshops directly in daycare centers, rehearsal visits, and children's concerts in the orchestra hall. The goal is to sustainably strengthen early childhood musical education: participants experience live music up close, try out instruments, and are playfully introduced to musical concepts. Interactive elements awaken curiosity and understanding, thereby fostering a long-term interest in culture and artistic participation.

Funding is provided exclusively to non-profit educational and public institutions that submit a concept for conducting the workshops and excursions. As a grant project in the fields of culture, media, education and training, as well as child and youth welfare, there is a continuous application process without a fixed deadline. The Baydur Foundation ensures that selected daycare centers in Stuttgart can regularly participate in the activities. The focus is on the sustainable integration of the individual measures: recurring rehearsal visits at the SWR and ongoing on-site workshops convey pedagogically sound content conducted by experienced music educators and orchestra musicians. The program thus makes a valuable contribution to early childhood development, strengthens social skills, and opens access to classical music for young children in a low-threshold and motivating way.
