Certification berufundfamilie for Health and Care Facilities

Since 2013, the funding program has supported the development and implementation of innovative family-oriented personnel strategies in health and care institutions. Under the state quality seal, measures are promoted that enable a sustainable work-life balance: from flexible working time models to on-site childcare and psychosocial support services for employees. The nationwide program is aimed equally at institutions throughout Austria, including Vienna, and covers topics ranging from work and health to social issues.

Hospitals, medical and dental practices, nursing homes, inpatient psychosocial facilities, addiction care services, as well as social care for elderly or disabled persons are eligible for funding, provided they employ at least five staff members. Public-law entities may also participate if they demonstrate non-profit status in accordance with §§ 34–36 BAO. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and funding is provided as a direct grant. Through this program, funders contribute to sustainably improving the compatibility of family and career and enhancing the attractiveness of the health and care sector as employers.
