Certification berufundfamilie

The "berufundfamilie" certification supports companies in Vienna in advancing a family-oriented corporate policy and thus sustainably strengthening the compatibility of work and family life. Innovative measures that flexibly address the needs of employees are promoted – ranging from flexible working time models to company childcare services and health promotion programs. The state quality seal creates a win-win situation: companies increase their attractiveness as employers, while employees benefit from an improved work-life balance. The program utilizes continuous funding and always offers the opportunity to submit and implement projects for certification. The goal is to make proven good practices visible and to promote exchange between organizations.

Eligible for funding are private-sector and non-profit companies with at least five employees, as well as public-law institutions with proof of non-profit status (§§ 34–36 BAO). Funding is provided as a grant and does not require a fixed deadline, allowing applicants to plan their measures flexibly in terms of timing. Micro-enterprises, start-ups, and traditional medium-sized companies can equally benefit from the certification to establish a family-friendly environment. The program is continuously open and invites interested parties to submit application documents in accordance with the guidelines, thereby laying the foundation for successful certification.
