Description
Grants and services within the framework of the Federal Family Support Guideline enable nationwide providers of family education, counseling, and association work to develop and consolidate family-friendly structures. The funding program supports projects that strengthen the economic stability of families, promote the partnership-based compatibility of work and family life, and expand family education and counseling. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, material resources, travel expenses, fees for external speakers, fixed amounts for courses and workshops, as well as technical infrastructure such as digital platforms and licenses. A project duration of twelve months allows for pilot initiatives as well as co-financing of EU programs. The funds are granted as non-repayable subsidies and require the contribution of own or third-party funds in accordance with the subsidiarity principle. Ineligible expenses include real estate acquisition, hardware, printing subsidies, alcoholic beverages, and representation costs.
Interested educational institutions, interest groups, and associations with a nationwide focus meet the formal requirements if board elections are conducted democratically, a statutory structure is in place, and own funds are documented. A complete application including BMFSFJ forms, project description, cost and financing plan, staffing plan with job descriptions, as well as proof of own funds must be submitted by the first week of December of the previous year at the latest to enable a project start from January 1. Selection is based on federal relevance, professional quality of the concept, degree of innovation, cost-effectiveness, and gender mainstreaming. This call for proposals offers an opportunity to set sustainable family policy impulses and comprehensively support the diversity of modern lifestyles.
