Description
The wage subsidy according to § 11 para. 2 of the Carinthian Equal Opportunities Act supports employers in Carinthia in creating and securing jobs for people with a disability determination certificate in the primary labor market. The funding is provided in the form of a direct subsidy to wage costs and ensures that employees with disabilities can be integrated into the company on a long-term basis. Since the funds may not be combined with benefits from the AMS or the Social Ministry Service, targeted and transparent budgeting is guaranteed. Applications can be submitted at any time and are aimed at companies as well as public institutions in the state of Carinthia.
Only the wage costs for the employed persons are funded, with the amount of the subsidy calculated as a percentage of the wage assessment basis and limited by a maximum amount. There is no legal entitlement to the grant; however, the funding instrument allows for individual adaptation to operational needs and sustainable integration into the labor market. Interested employers benefit from a streamlined process without fixed submission deadlines and are supported by the central specialist department for equal opportunities of the Carinthian state government. The goal is to promote equal participation opportunities and assist employers in implementing statutory equality objectives.
