Description
In Upper Austria, the Directorate of Social Affairs and Health, Department of Social Affairs of the State Government, enables interested associations, interest groups, foundations, companies, and non-profit organizations to finance ongoing expenses as well as innovative projects in the field of disability assistance and psychiatric pre- and aftercare. The funding program is intended as a permanent support measure without a fixed end date and strengthens the social infrastructure for the accompaniment and promotion of people with disabilities or psychological burdens. Funding is provided, among other things, for personnel and material costs, training measures, consulting services, and specific project activities that adhere to the criteria of economy, efficiency, and appropriateness.
Eligible to apply are all private legal entities – such as associations, companies, or foundations – with a secured overall financing plan. Submissions must be made before the project begins and include a completed, signed application form, a substantive concept or description of the association’s activities, statutes, budget and financing plan, as well as, if applicable, original invoices and payment receipts as proof of use. Upon completion of the measure, detailed accounts (income/expenses, balance sheet, or project accounting) must be submitted. The funding guidelines are based on § 17 of the Upper Austrian Equal Opportunities Act 2008 and the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Upper Austria. On-site inspections or random document checks ensure the proper use of funds. Thanks to the ongoing submission opportunities, this funding offer provides recipients with a flexible foundation to develop and sustainably secure services in disability assistance and psychiatric care.
