Description
The “Subsidy for Parental Contributions” supports families with school-age children attending privately organized childcare facilities in Vienna. As a permanent, direct funding measure by the City of Vienna (MA 10 – Vienna Kindergartens), this subsidy aims to provide noticeable financial relief: it partially covers the monthly parental contribution for after-school care, day parents, or private children’s groups until the end of the respective school year (June 30). Applications can be submitted continuously and apply to the current school year. There is no budget limit, so all eligible applications are approved after review. The legal basis is the resolution of the Vienna City Council dated May 25, 2009.
Eligible are custodial persons with primary residence in Vienna and their school-age children, provided that both the child and the facility comply with the provisions of the Vienna Kindergarten Act. A total net income below the specified maximum limit and the conclusion of a funding agreement with the City of Vienna are prerequisites. Applicants must submit a completed form “Application for Reduction or Subsidy of Parental Contributions for Daycare of School Children,” a cost and attendance confirmation from the facility, as well as identity and income proofs. Increases in income or changes in household composition must be reported immediately. This well-considered funding structure guarantees an unbureaucratic process and reliable support for families in Vienna.
