The Salzburg Growth Fund receives ongoing funding from the State of Salzburg to fulfill its statutory mandate: the promotion of measures to enhance innovation capacity, value creation, and sustainable business growth. This grant funding specifically supports projects that contribute to securing and creating jobs within the state. The focus is on both research- and innovation-oriented initiatives as well as business consulting and financing measures, which together contribute to the economic strengthening of the region.
As a public-law institution, the Growth Fund acts on behalf of the state and awards grants to public entities seeking to initiate growth impulses. A prerequisite for funding is the provision of corresponding resources in the state budget (§ 2 Salzburg Growth Fund Act). For submission, the annual financial report as well as a report on the granted subsidies must be provided, documenting the effectiveness of the measures by economic sectors, regional distribution, and funding activities.
