Within the framework of bridge financing, the Ernst von Siemens Art Foundation provides low-interest loans nationwide to support art acquisitions and exhibitions. Public institutions, non-profit organizations, as well as private individuals can benefit from this flexible funding opportunity. The foundation’s goal is to facilitate the acquisition of significant artworks for cultural collections, museums, and other cultural institutions, as well as individual actors, and to bridge temporary liquidity shortages in exhibition projects. The provision of advance and bridge financing enables valuable objects to be secured quickly and exhibition projects to be implemented with planning certainty.

Submissions can be made digitally at any time: an application includes a cover letter, detailed object information (dating, dimensions, technique, material, provenance), a financing plan with own funds and additional funding, complete provenance documentation, as well as at least two independent expert opinions. Furthermore, the foundation requires a high-resolution image of the artwork (300 dpi on A4).
