About the funder
The Adolf Hölzel Foundation was established in 2005 by Doris Dieckmann-Hölzel and received the entire artistic estate as well as the property of the artist Adolf Hölzel as an endowment in 2010. It pursues charitable purposes and aims to sustainably promote Hölzel’s complete artistic oeuvre, to professionally preserve and process the estate. Furthermore, the foundation consolidates all activities related to Hölzel’s work, making it accessible to the expert community and the general public through exhibitions, lecture series, and specialist forums, and operates the Hölzel House in Stuttgart-Degerloch as a central platform for this purpose.

Mission & Vision
The Adolf Hölzel Foundation is committed to continuously conveying the life, work, and teachings of Adolf Hölzel. It preserves and makes accessible his artistic estate, promotes scholarly research and networking, and organizes events to highlight Hölzel’s contribution to modern art. At the same time, it operates an art school in the Hölzel House, which, in accordance with Hölzel’s principles, provides access to artistic means and color theory for interested individuals of all ages.
Target groups
The foundation is aimed at art historians, researchers, and students who wish to study Hölzel's estate. Furthermore, it addresses a culturally interested audience, providing insight into Hölzel's oeuvre through exhibitions, guided tours, and lectures. Artists and emerging talents benefit from the art school in the Hölzel House, which offers practice-oriented programs in painting and color theory.
